Sillore Editorial
Privacy
This page describes how the current version of Sillore handles personal data. It is a plain-language description of the product’s behaviour.
Who is responsible for your data
Sillore is operated by TOTM TECH LTD, which is the controller of the personal data described on this page. Its postal address is 100 N Howard St Ste R, Spokane, WA 99201-0508, United States.
For any privacy request, please email hello@sillore.com.
Browsing without an account
You can browse fragrances, read guides, run the advisor and build a comparison without signing in. Sillore does not add advertising or analytics trackers to its pages.
If you create an account
An account uses your name, email address and a password. Sillore sends a verification email before the account can be used and a reset email if you ask for one. Passwords are handled by the sign-in system and are not shown to anyone at Sillore.
- Sign-in keeps you logged in with a first-party session cookie.
- You can see your active sessions on the account page and sign out other devices.
- Each session keeps the browser description and network address it was opened from, so you can review and end sessions on the account page.
- Sign-in, sign-up and similar requests are rate limited to protect accounts. Sillore’s own request limiter stores addresses only in hashed form.
Your private fragrance data
Favourites, wanted and owned lists, wardrobe entries, wear logs, scent preferences and saved advisor or comparison results belong to your account and are used to show them back to you. They are not shown to other users, and personalising a result never changes what else Sillore ranks or recommends.
Shared comparisons
If you choose to share a comparison, Sillore creates a read-only link that shows the compared fragrances only. It does not include your account, wardrobe or preferences. Anyone with the link can open it. If you delete your account, the links you created stop working.
Newsletter
Subscribing to the newsletter uses double opt-in: Sillore emails a confirmation link and only subscribes the address after you click it. Subscribers can unsubscribe at any time.
Retailer clicks
When you use a buy link, Sillore records that a click happened: which offer, retailer and page placement, the market and currency, and the time. It does not record your address, browser details, account, wardrobe or answers. The retailer’s own site then applies its own privacy practices.
Exercising your privacy rights
Signed-in members can use Export my data on the account page to download the data Sillore holds about their account, and Delete my account to remove it. Deleting removes the account and its private data, as described there, and is always completed within 30 days.
Server logs are kept for 30 days. Database backups roll off with a 30-day backup window, so deleted data can remain in a backup until then and is not restored into the live service.
To ask about the data Sillore holds about you, or to make a privacy request, email hello@sillore.com.
Services that process data for Sillore
Sillore runs on Cloudflare. Cloudflare hosts the website, stores the database that holds accounts and the private data described above, and sends account emails such as verification and password reset.
Newsletter subscriptions are delivered through Resend, which receives the subscriber’s email address and the language setting needed to send the newsletter.
What is not yet published
Sillore has not yet published the basis for any international transfers, or data retention periods beyond those stated above. This page will not describe them until they exist.
